General principles

Here are two migration strategies of Worldline Sips:

  • simplified migration: you keep your merchant_id in order to maintain your back office. You will be responsible for the connectors deployment.
  • complete migration: Worldline Sips re-enrols your shop in 2.0, which induces a complete overhaul of your payment system and back office.

Who does this document target?

This document is intended to guide you through your choice of strategy and the various stages of migration to Worldline Sips 2.0 as part of the Worldline Sips 1.0 maintenance termination.

Simplified migration
Principles Advantages Disadvantages
You keep your merchantId 1.0. Worldline generates the secret key to the contact email. You are operating in mode transactionId. You manage only one shop even during the transition period: all reports and transactions on the on the same shop. No changes to be managed on your backoffice which processes reports or transaction management. You have to integrate the 2.0 connector and deploy it in production before activating the means of payment or the option 2.0.
Complete migration
Principles Advantages Disadvantages
You request a new merchantId 2.0 associated to the acquirer's contract with the required options. You can keep your 1.0 reports in case of transactionId mode. You have an immediate access to the Worldline Sips 2.0 features:
  • means of payment 2.0
  • reports 2.0
If you have SFTP access, you can retrieve your reports and drop the batch files for the merchantId 2.0 on this same access.
During the transition period, you have to manage the merchantId 1.0 and merchantId 2.0 transactions in parallel. These transactions are visible by merchantId in Sips Office Extranet or in the reports.
